Nonporous
Even with the relieved surface there is no porosity and will not support the growth of mold, mildew, or bacteria.

Easy to clean
Backlight Images™ are easy to clean just like a Corian® countertop. With a small amount of mild soap and warm water, most everyday smudges and fingerprints will disappear instantly. For tougher mars, a little denatured alcohol on a rag will wipe them away.

Stain-Resistant
Stains can’t permeate and are easily removed.

Durable
All Backlight Images™ have a layer of acrylic as a backer to improve the lasting durability. Since the time when the first Backlight Image™ was fabricated there have been no image failures due to normal wear and tear.

Renewable
Backlight Images™ in Corian® are renewable and relative easy to repair depending on the severity of the damage. It stays looking as beautiful as the day it was installed. Marks and scratches can be removed easily to restore it to its original condition.

Backlight Images™ are made of DuPont™ Corian®. It has been determined that Corian® is a low-emitting surfacing material that can contribute to sustainable design. Corian® is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified® and also meets certification standards of GREENGUARD For Children & Schools^SM. Low VOC is recognized as a key attribute of "green" building materials in the indoor environment. Indoor air quality has been shown to support productivity, satisfaction, and well-being in indoor spaces, such as healthcare, education, and other commercial spaces. Code Compliant
Backlight Images™ have a Class 1 (A) fire rating and are NSF/ANSI 51 Certified for food contact of all food types. Can be molded and formed with no sharp edges or corners for ADA compliance.
